Ghazanfar Port
All the petroleum products and further commodities are supplied to the Hairatan storage facilities via the Ghazanfar Port. The Group has built a 6 km railway track, which connects our premise with the Uzbek rail network. This terminal operates up to 50 RTC's (Rail Track Carriages) simultaneously and has a maximum capacity of processing up to 300 RTCs a day.
There are four types of RTCs that the port is processing:
1. Petroleum products wagons
2. L.P.G. wagons
3. Closed wagons (carrying any type of dry goods)
4. Open top wagons (carrying coal, wood, steel, any kind of bulk products and materials, etc.).
The port offers additionally open and closed storage facilities and possesses a platform for the unloading / cross-loading of goods from the RTCs. The platform can handle up to 10 trucks at a time. For future growth the Group has planned the doubling of the platform capacity.
As the RTCs enter the Afghan territory they are manoeuvred to the respective Ghazanfar site. Hairatan 1 receives petroleum products and L.P.G. wagons only, where they are unloaded to the storage tanks. Hairatan 2 is able to accommodate and process wagons carrying petroleum products and the entire range of any other goods.
Ghazanfar Port is a new railway trans-shipment and storage facility the Group built adjacent to Hairatan 2, being connected to it by the private railway track infrastructure. This facility’s main function is as a universal processing center for the goods arriving by rail or truck from across the border – receiving, import formalities, storage, and trans-shipment by rail or truck. In addition to processing petroleum products, LPG and other shipments addressed to the Group, by redirecting to Hairatan 1 and Hairatan 2 sites, the Ghazanfar Port offers receiving, storage and trans-shipment services to Third Parties.
The construction of the Hairatan 2 facility was accomplished in 2010 and it consists out of 10 fuel storage tanks with a total capacity of 35,000 MT, one water storage tank, loading branches capable of handling 28 fuel products RTC's simultaneously and pumps able to deliver a discharge rate of 300 M3 per hour. The truck loading area is equipped with 14 fuel dispensers with a filling rate of 100 M2 per hour each and an additional filtration system.
Ghazanfar Group takes every measure to ensure that the storage and trans-shipment of petroleum products, LPG, as well as any other commodity through its facilities is carried out in an optimal and safe manner for people and the environment.
