Founded by the Ghazanfar Group and officially licensed in 2008, the Ghazanfar Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting the most vulnerable in Afghanistan. The first revelation to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) began with the word “Iqra”—meaning “Read!” as a divine command to seek knowledge:
“Read! In the name of your Lord, Who has created, Created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is Most Generous, Who taught by the pen, Taught man that which he knew not” (Al-Quran 96:1-5).
