GHAZANFAR OIL REFINERY
GHAZANFAR OIL REFINERY Located in Hairaton City, Northern Afghanistan, near the Ghazanfar Dry Port, our refinery is strategically positioned with access to Central Asia’s rail and Afghanistan’s trucking networks.
The site includes processing, compounding, fuel testing facilities, and storage. With a capacity of 500 metric tons per day (150,000 metric tons annually), we produce petrol A-80, kerosene, diesel, Mazut, winterized diesel, and high-octane petrol using low sulfur crude and oil distillates.
Refinery Capabilities
Production
500 metric tons/day 150,000 metric tons/year
Process
Atmospheric distillation for
crude oil separation
Products Produced
Gasoline
Grade: Octane 80 (can produce up to Octane 95 on-site)
Crude is shipped via Ghazanfar Dry Port to 44 on-site tanks (100 MT each) and 6 refined product tanks (3,000 MT each). An additional 32,000 MT storage facility is available at the nearby Ghazanfar Neft Gas Terminal.
Compounding and Blending
Our fuel accelerating units produce 1,200 metric tons per day, enhancing gasoline from octane 80 to 95. We also blend diesel with approved additives to produce winterized diesel and Jet A-1 – JP8.
Quality Assurance
Our modern fuel testing facility, near the refinery, is staffed by experienced experts. We ensure fuel quality and content meet international ASTM and IP standards.
Strategic Expansion Plan
Our expansion is in three phases. Phase 1 is complete; Phase 2, currently underway, will expand refining capacity to 500,000 metric tons per year and add six 3,000 MT crude storage units. Phase 3 aims to increase capacity to 1 million metric tons per year.
